Electroacoustic, four channel fixed media
"edge" deals with aspects of granular synthesis using SuperCollider.
The processing chain takes the raw material from the granulator and distributes the grains through other digital signal processing effects, including amplitude modulation and time stretching. The multichannel scattering is sometimes random, sometimes controlled manually by the composer in a physical interaction with the computer, in a musical “jeu”, where random reordering, disintegration and morphing are possible.
This track is a stereo realisation of a four-channel work. Please contact me for the separate mono files if you wish to perform the work on a multichannel system.
